Committee Article- JCC

Near the start of the committee, General Macarthur and Dwight Eisenhower introduced a directive co-written by Edward Almond and Shin Sung Mo, stating they would deploy troops armed with weapons (some leftover from WW2, five years ago) to take back Pyongyang, combat Soviet ship. They also stated, through radio propaganda, that they would treat South Koreans as saviors and that the US would provide South Korea with medical aid, to bring them to their side. These were among many other clauses stated. The UN don brought to light some of the issues with the directive, such as the actual distance between the 600 planes offered by the US and their target in Russia (which would make it difficult to even reach their target, forget taking them down), or the increased political tensions that could be induced by America so heavily financially backing military action made by South Korea.

At 10:50 there was an engaging conference conducted by the distinguished press wherein Winston Churchill, McArthur and Dwight D. Eisenhower were grilled with some very well thought out points, to really put the delegates in a corner. While most of the conference progressed smoothly and with absolute decorum, McArthur took a slightly more aggressive approach while answering questions about his aggressive tone during committee.

There was a directive introduced by Robert A. Lovett and Rhee Syngman, Co written by Harry S Truman and Paik Sun Yup. A number of amendments have been made, friendly and not. The UN don pinpointed some more issues with the directive and ended by deeming it improbable to be passed.

After another update, in which Chinese troops were reported to be on the North Korea China border, Kim Il Sung was kidnapped: Park Onyeong being the next potential target. A moderated caucus is being held to discuss it and future prospects. As the day continues, the committee will make the choice between peace and war.
