Which Zoom filter should you use based on your personality?

Since the pandemic began in early 2020, zoom has been a vital part of our lives since schools shut, lockdown was enforced and the economy crashed significantly. Consequently, we've had to switch to the online world and the popularity of zoom skyrocketed. Businesses, schools and colleges have had to adapt to this sudden change. Citizens in the Southern Asian country India (where I'm situated) have still been using zoom as a medium of communication. Although the majority of people may not like zoom, unfortunately, it's here to stay for a bit more whether we like it or not.

Enough with the somber news; we've been accustomed to zoom, and it can be monotonous at times. However, with the rising popularity of zoom, zoom implemented a feature in which you can add various filters. You may say, ‘so what if there are filters, how is that going to change my experience on zoom’. Well, you may be right, but filters can actually help you in meetings and some you can use on a daily basis as part of your meeting. You just need to find the one which suits you. For instance, I like the golden gate bridge background and aerospace goggles filter. When I’m in a zoom meeting it’s usually with my friends or school/work, aerospace goggles are for when I’m with my friends and a virtual background such as: the golden gate bridge is for school/work.

I use the aerospace filter with my friends because it can show the fun side of me and I really like the vibrant colours from the goggles. Furthermore, the golden gate bridge filter is for when I’m in school, as it keeps me motivated to finish my work since it’s aesthetically pleasing and it reminds me of the time when I was in the Golden gate bridge. I enjoy traveling, however, in the pandemic I am unable to do so, so it’s the closest to travelling. Additionally, based on your personality and preference you can decide yours too. I would recommend you to check out studio effects because it has options for a mustache or beard, if you’re struggling with growing a beard it’s just one click away! The beard looks real too! And same for the mustache.

In conclusion, you can choose any filter based on your personality and the position that you are in. I feel that filters are really effective to enhance your zoom experience and are also unique. Although we want schools, colleges and workplaces to re-open you can utilize filters and enhance your experience on zoom just with a few tweeks mentioned above.
